PRIVACY POLICY

REEL OS ("we", "us", "our") is a content creation platform that uses AI to generate hooks, scripts, and video analysis for short-form content creators. By using REEL OS you agree to this Privacy Policy.

We collect the following when you use REEL OS: • Account data — name, email address, and profile information collected via Clerk (our authentication provider) when you sign up. • Brand profile data — your business name, industry, platforms, tone preferences, and any other information you enter in the brand setup flow. This is stored in our database and used to personalise generated content. • Usage data — hooks, scripts, and video analyses you generate. We store inputs and AI outputs to power your History page and compute your Virality Score. • Payment data — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your card number or banking details. We receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status only. • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically for security and debugging.

We use your data to: • Provide and personalise the REEL OS service (generating hooks, scripts, and analyses in your brand voice). • Maintain your account and authenticate you securely via Clerk. • Process subscription payments and manage your plan via Stripe. • Improve the platform — aggregate, anonymised usage patterns help us make better product decisions. We never sell individual data. • Send transactional emails (e.g. billing confirmations) via your registered email address. We do not send unsolicited marketing without your consent.

Content you generate (hooks, scripts, analyses) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic's API does not train on your data by default. Generated content is stored in our database linked to your account. You own the content you generate using REEL OS.

REEL OS uses the following third-party processors — each with their own privacy policies: • Clerk (clerk.com) — authentication and user management. • Supabase (supabase.com) — database and backend infrastructure. • Anthropic (anthropic.com) — AI content generation via Claude API. • Stripe (stripe.com) — subscription billing and payment processing. • Upstash (upstash.com) — rate limiting via Redis (no personal data stored). • Netlify (netlify.com) — hosting and CDN infrastructure.

We retain your account data and generated content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law (e.g. billing records retained for 7 years for tax purposes).

REEL OS uses essential cookies for authentication (managed by Clerk) and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this will prevent you from logging in.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to: • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you. • Request correction of inaccurate data. • Request deletion of your account and associated data. • Object to processing or request restriction. • Data portability. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data — including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), server-side access controls, and limited employee access. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password for your account.

REEL OS is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of REEL OS after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
